Don't let yourself feel stupid

Think about this:

We make sure that our nails and our hair look terrific, and we buy all sorts of skin products. But what about what's happening inside our bodies, what we put in our bodies? Somehow we overlook the urgency of making our health a top-priority issue also.

Here’s another issue that we often choose to ignore:

  • On more than one occasion I allowed myself to be less of who I could be, just to please others. Sure, I wanted to watch my diet, but because my boss might be a little overweight and I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, I’d agree to join her at a fast food restaurant, and then get the combo meal rather than eat my healthy lunch from home.
  • Who was I helping? I could have been a better example to my boss by declining the offer. Instead, I didn’t want to offend, so I opted to be unhealthy, rather than do what I knew was best for myself.
